Bloomington, MN (January 14, 2021) – Jay Ruhl has been hired as VP/commercial banker on Bell Bank’s commercial & industrial (C&I) lending team. His office is in Bell Plaza, located at 3800 American Boulevard West in Bloomington.
In his new position, Ruhl develops relationships with commercial customers in the C&I sector. Prior to joining Bell, Ruhl was a commercial banker for JPMorgan Chase Bank in Minneapolis, with his 6 years at JPMorgan Chase also including experience in credit risk analysis and underwriting.
“We’re very pleased to have a banker the caliber of Jay join our C&I commercial team,” said Jon Aase, Bell’s Twin Cities commercial banking team lead. “His experience brings a well-rounded understanding of credit and risk in addition to an ability to truly listen to businesses and what they’re looking for. That fits in really well with how we do business at Bell.”
“I’m excited for this opportunity,” added Ruhl. “Bell’s people-first approach is how I like to build relationships with customers. I look forward to helping this company continue to grow and help businesses succeed.”
Ruhl graduated from the University of Minnesota’s Curtis L. Carlson School of Management with a degree in finance. He lives in St. Louis Park with his wife, Hallie.
